The butcher shop is managed and operated by family member, Patrick McCown. Patrick has an extensive culinary background with more than 30 years in the food service industry. He has a passion for all things food and enjoys sharing his knowledge with the customers. Come by and let Patrick hand cut you a beautiful steak or some chops for the grill!

Tim Hughes-Chef de Cuisine

ON THE SEA SIDE!

Tim is the resident expert when it comes to seafood and wine and has over 16 years in the food industry. His father was a chef and Tim began learning his way around a kitchen at the tender age of 7—you might say that the love of preparing good food is just part of his DNA. There’s no one who loves sharing recipes more than Tim, and he has a million of them! The customers have loved learning the proper way to prepare seafood from Tim—just ask him and he’ll be happy to share! Tim also offers cooking classes to our customers from time to time.

Chef Twillia Glover

After 18 years as a chef in Providence, Rhode Island Chef Twillia finally made her way back to her Alabama home. We were fortunate enough to find her to work her magic in the Land & Sea Café. Twillia’s Southern roots have inspired her to add a down—home comfort twist to classic French training. She is passionate about sustainable local and organic farming. Twilla attended the Culinary Institute of America in both Hyde Park, New York and Napa Valley California.
